Finaly some relief from the northwest winds and steep seas! This week there was calm seas and fog with light to no winds.
The salmon were biting for both the sport and commercial fleet. Although plenty of small shakers were caught, larger fish are now finding there way onto the boats.
The rockfish bite was somewhat slow, which could be due to the weaker tidal shifts this week, and the fact that most fish were stuffed with krill – just not that hungry.
Pacific haliubut bite sounds slow. But the Petrole sole are strting to bite and coming in closer to the cove.
