Early last week we had a couple nice tuna days. Tuesday was good for all boats, but Wednesday had the big numbers. Some boats were getting limits, or close, with numerous reports of 55, 60, and up to 100 fish per boat.
We’ve had reports of at least one Dorado caught in these warm waters off-shore. Also rumors of a couple more on different boats.
Sounds like the warm waters will stay with us a while longer. This weeks looks like calm conditions for the weekend and most of the week ahead.
Rockfish should be biting this week, as the moon is waning.
California halibut are still around, but the bite seems to be slowing down.
Petrole sole are biting well. Find them out in the flats north-west of the whistle.
The salmon bite is still slow, but a few bigger fish have being caught for those who go looking.
