Open Shelter III has brought many kayak fishermen (and women) to our waters this weekend.
There was a bit of wind Friday afternoon and Saturday threatening to make the fishing more dificult, but most kayaks were able to make it out and get some fish.
Today is looking real nice with calm winds and sunny weather. Looks like the rain that was forecast will hold off till tonite.
The biggest fish I saw yesterday was a 33 inch California Halibut caught out front
Rockfish bite has been slow, probably due to the full moon.
Not many boats looking for salmon as they are not biting. But they are still around chasing shrimp flys to the boats.
Lots of Jack Smelt everywhere from the mooring to miles offshore.
Forcast is for light winds this week increasing Thursday, but scattered showers Monday and Wednesday.
